I’d like to announce that Project Britannia has found it’s way into some new development efforts.
First off, Lone Knight from the Dungeon Siege modification “Derelict” has announced that they plan on using some of the Project Britannia systems within their mod.
“The summer ’06 upcoming siegelet Derelict will be using a great deal from Brittania. I have been following developments in Brittania for a while, and just recently finished testing out M2. Many attributes of Brittania content will be extremely useful for Derelict, and will indefinately make the siegelet better to play and experience. ” — Lone Knight
Derelict is part of the RPG Network
Second, Roughboy has been working on what he calls an “adversary engine” within his WorldMind project.
“the “worldmind database” is a database that holds all the knowledge and logical rules that run the engine and the game world.
the “aspect engine” is the game engine itself, with which the worldmind communicates to represent the state of things in the worldmind database. the aspect engine handles all the graphics, sound, etc… it is, essentially, the game, whereas the worldmind database is the a.i. engine for the game.”
He is using Project Britannia as a base and is also looking for others interested in helping him out. See WorldMind for more information.
